MAYA: a Call to the Global Guardians
The album MAYA is an arrow of loving, focused intent- a ceremony of sound. MAYA is a prayer to awaken and unite Global Guardians in songs and dances of collaborative healing.
The album was a result of a dieta in the mountains of Colombia as well as 10 years of various forms of music study. MaYita’s creative channels clarified and there was no choice but to sing out, to make the call for the galactic guardians to unite.
Every song is offered as a joyful act of sonic healing
MAYA is a call to all those who came to train in interconnected sovereignty. A call to those who are ready to act in the highest good for all beings.
As a musical work, MAYA unites territories and traditions. It is a mixture of MaYita’s original work, potent covers, and songs she caught from the families who are carrying the codes of our ancestral memory in ceremony.
Every song on MAYA is offered as a joyful act of sonic healing.

Maya was given her spiritual name, Ma-Yita, by her spiritual mother. It is a name that sprouted from her nickname, Ma-Yita, and has ties to the Inuit word for deer.
